On July 27, 2026 Amazon cut its title limit to 75 characters. Most listings written before then are already out of policy.
You can check your own title against the new limit in the next ten seconds — paste it below. If it's over, Amazon's own AI is already rewriting it for you, and unless you're Brand Registered you don't get a say before it goes live.

What actually changed on July 27
Title: 200 → 75 characters
The old "150-character limit" you may have heard of appears in no Amazon policy — that was always folklore. The real limit, as of a month ago, is 75 characters for every category except media.
Amazon rewrites the overage
Titles left over the limit aren't rejected — they're rewritten automatically by Amazon's own AI. Brand-Registry sellers get a 14-day window to review the rewrite. Everyone else's title is simply changed for them.
A new 125-character field appeared
"Item Highlights" — searchable, shown under the title. The keyword space that title shrinkage took away didn't disappear, it moved. Most sellers don't know the field exists yet, so most aren't filling it in.
The $199 done-for-you package
Rebuilding a listing properly is a big job — new title, new bullets, new search terms, new images, every one of them against rules that changed a month ago. Hand it to Listing Mammoth and it stops being your job. One fixed price, everything a listing needs to be back inside Amazon's current rules and doing its work.
- A compliant product title (75 characters, built to the new rule)
- The new 125-character Item Highlights field, filled in on purpose
- Five bullet points, each front-loaded for mobile
- Back-end search terms, built to the byte limit
- A refreshed main image built to spec — or, where no usable photo exists yet, a precise shot brief instead
- Up to five explainer images for your gallery — built wherever we have a photo to work from, a precise shot brief for any we don't
What the free audit actually is
Said plainly, because it matters: we read your live listing (or your own product page, if you're not on Amazon yet) against a written 10-point checklist and hand you the findings back as a private report link, each one tied to the specific Amazon requirement behind it. If your page can't be read automatically, we say so on the spot and name what to change so the next run works — nothing sits waiting on us.
Compliance checks
- Title length, counted against the new 75-character limit
- Prohibited characters and repeated words in the title
- Claim risk: medical, "FDA approved," pesticide-adjacent, or absolute claims
Structure & image checks
- Whether the Item Highlights field is being used at all
- Whether all five bullets are used and front-loaded for mobile
- Main image compliance, zoom behavior, and gallery depth
Every finding is something anyone could verify by looking at your public listing — never a claim about your sales, conversion rate, or ad performance, because that data isn't visible from outside your seller account and no honest audit can see it.
Where we stand right now
Listing Mammoth is brand new — we have zero completed customer orders so far. We'd rather tell you that plainly than fill this page with reviews that don't exist. What we can show you instead is exactly what the audit checks and exactly what's in the package, both on this page, so you can judge it on its own terms.
